Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

This is a starting draft covering our standard way of working, based on how jobs actually run. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Please have it checked by a qualified legal advisor before relying on it, particularly the sections on cancellations and refunds, which need your confirmation, and consumer rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations for online orders.

Who we are

These terms apply to any order placed with Doors On Demand Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a supply-and-fit internal door service covering the West Midlands.

Getting a quote

Quotes are generated through our online calculator or issued directly by Mark based on the details you provide. Prices include VAT and are based on the door styles, quantities, sizes and extras you select. Our minimum order is 3 doors.

Quotes are based on the measurements and information you provide before your fitting date. Final sizing is confirmed on site on the day of fitting, and the price may be adjusted if the doors turn out to be metric (40mm) or fire doors (44mm), which cost more than standard doors, or if your requirements change.

Deposit and payment

A 50% deposit is required to secure your order and fitting date. This is used to order your doors and hardware ahead of the job. The remaining balance is due on completion, once fitting is finished and you're happy with the work.

Payment is taken via Stripe (through the online calculator) or via a Monzo payment link for orders arranged by message.

Cancellations and changes

[Mark to confirm: what happens if a customer cancels before doors are ordered, after doors are ordered, or wants to change their fitting date — including whether the deposit is refundable in each case]

If you're ordering as a consumer online or by phone, you may also have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless an exception applies (for example, once bespoke or made-to-measure doors have been ordered on your behalf). [confirm how this applies to bespoke/cut-to-size doors]

Fitting day

We'll need reasonable access to your property and a flat driveway or similar space to cut and prepare doors on the day. Doors are hung to hang the same way as your existing doors unless you tell us otherwise. Handles are fitted at a standard height of 1 metre from the floor unless you ask for a different height.

We do not remove old doors as part of the service. These are left at your property, on the drive or wherever you'd prefer, for you to arrange disposal.

Guarantee and insurance

All fitting work is carried out to a professional standard and is fully insured. If something isn't right with the fitting, let us know and we'll put it right.

Our liability

We aren't responsible for delays or issues caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as supplier delays. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
